Testimonial:

“After taking Alison’s class I clearly see that once I create my business model based on her guidance, I will have a template to grow my brand that can be only and uniquely mine. The class is broken down into easy to follow format and you can jump around as needed while remaining on target. However, I do suggest that you make sure to utilize all the content…trust me you do not want to miss a thing. The program is soul searching as well as thought provoking. Each time I go back over the material, I see things in a deeper hue. I’ve learned about myself, my belief system, my ideal client, my accountability, and my personal wisdom (yes! I have some!) I’ve been given a roadmap for business success that will be a baseline for my future growth. And here is another fantastic result of The Art of Good Business, I have acquired new confidence in my ability to manage all that office stuff! It must show because four weeks into the class the inquiries started coming, I booked three clients and have two new prospects!

Alison has put her heart and her vast knowledge into this class. She is open and supportive. Honest and kind. She will tell the truth. She is clear and concise. She is a bit of a genius and she’ll bring out the genius in you! Her class is one of a kind because of all the backing and support she offers.

Believe me, I’ve taken a lot of “let me help you” classes. This is the first one that has held me accountable for my personal implementation and success.

I won’t lie, at first, I thought, this is not my forte, this is going to be a challenge…

But Alison’s approach is to encourage us to take some action, because it all adds up. One success leads to the next and soon it was fun! My new discoveries are exciting, I found myself not wanting it to end, and was pleased to discover that the information in the class will always be available to me.

Alison is personally invested in your future. She really cares that you grow and implement change for positive results. Most of all she believes in your success. And she is ever guiding you to “keep doing beautiful work!”

I encourage you to indulge in the Art of Good Business. I promise when you are done, your journey to business success will have just begun.”

Introducing Flower Boss 2: Floral Industry Pricing And Markups

Profitable. Streamlined. Professional.

This is the intention of each of my online courses and free training.

And this week I have a new free course for you, Flower Boss 2: Floral Industry Pricing And Markups.

I invited floralpreneurs to join me Live on Facebook to discuss industry standards on markups for flowers, supplies and design fees.

Some of the questions I answer include:

How much should a florist make per hour?

How do you charge for labor?

How do you balance a bride’s expectations with her budget?

Of course, I give you all the industry standard markups on flowers, supplies and labor/design fees as well.

I also share real-life examples of how I use Flower Math to double check my work and ensure that I’m proving value to my clients.

Flower Math is my very first online course and it’s on sale. SAVE $100 OFF retail today.

An important part of being confident in your pricing is knowing that you’re providing value to your customers!

68% of florists I surveyed said they’re only “moderately confident” in their pricing.

If you ever ask yourself, “Does this look full enough?”, then this free course is for you!

Click here to get Flower Boss 2. (It’s free.)

How to get more testimonials

Testimonials are a powerful tool in your small business.

Great testimonials help do the work of establishing trust and building brand authority with potential clients, but before you can put your testimonials to work for you, you must gather rave reviews.

What’s the best way to get more reviews from clients?

Whether you send a survey from your company, or ask clients to review your work online on a service like Wedding Wire or The Knot or Google, it’s worth taking the time to request the feedback you seek!

Today, I’m sharing a free e-mail template with an example of how you can approach your clients about writing a “rave review” for your business. (This template is free and there’s no e-mail opt-in required! Grab it below…)

Click to download: How To Ask For A Testimonial

If your clients had a good experience with your company, you want to know about it!

And if for any reason they had a “less than awesome” experience, well, you should want to know about that, too….

Because your client’s feedback reflects the truth about what you’re actually delivering….

And if you’re especially good at what you do, there’s no better way to say it, than in your own customers’ words.

Push yourself out of your comfort zone! If you’re not in the habit of asking for feedback, make it a part of your workflow process asap!

20 Questions with Alison Ellis: LIVE Q&A

My blog is relatively new, but I’ve been talking with floral designers on my e-mail list since October of 2015.

I invited floralpreneurs to join me for a live Q&A in March 2016 to share some of my tips to finding focus in my business (and life in general).

While I was at it, I answered about 20 questions that floral designers submitted in advance including topics like…

  • talking about budget,
  • how do you get customers to spend more than the minimum,
  • marketing,
  • finding the voice of your brand,
  • home-based businesses,
  • working without a cooler,
  • and setting standards for your work!

Click to watch my very first Live Q&A on Periscope! It’s about 90 minutes long.

Pro tip: Focusing on how we want to feel as business owners, as entrepreneurs, can be very clarifying when it comes to developing the voice of your business and setting standards.

Keep
doing
beautiful
work!
With love from me to you,
Alison
